DESCRIPTION:Notice for Bids\nDemolition of Structures 2018-1\nThe City of Phenix City\, Alabama will accept individual bids (without dumping fees) by licensed Phenix City contractors to demolish the FIFTEEN (15) structures located as follows: \n\n1233 13th Avenue\, Phenix City\, AL\n1203 Knowles Road\, Phenix City\, AL\n1008 4th Place South\, Phenix City\, AL\n1706 20th Avenue\, Phenix City\, AL\n1605 22nd Street\, Phenix City\, AL\n2306 16th Place\, Phenix City\, AL\n1904 14th Avenue\, Phenix City\, AL\n518 6th Street\, Phenix City\, AL\n\n\n925 16th Court\, Phenix City\, AL\n1119 23rd Avenue\, Phenix City\, AL\n1300 2nd Place South\, Phenix City\, AL\n1208 18th Avenue\, Phenix City\, AL\n2807 9th Place\, Phenix City\, AL\n3 Trafford Trail\, Phenix City\, AL\n2905 South Railroad Street\, Phenix City\, AL\n\nIf your bid is greater than $10\,000\, a 5% bond or cashier’s check must accompany your bid. Any bid exceeding $10\,000.00 which does not have either a cashier’s check or bond at bid opening shall not be considered. Each property shall be bid individually. All utility connections must be disconnected and secured. All debris and accumulation of materials resulting from demolition or any building shall be removed from the premises and disposed of properly. Grade lot to prevent standing of water. \nPermanent Grassing Specifications: \n\nA Spreader is required to distribute seed/fertilizer.\nMarch 1 to August 31 – Common Bermuda grass (Hulled) 10 lbs/acre\nSeptember 1 to March 1 – Common Bermuda grass (Unhulled) 10 lbs/acre and Annual Ryegrass 10 lbs/acre\n\nFertilizer Rate: \n\nNitrogen: 5% – 10% | 60 – 90 lbs/acre\nPhosphorous: 10% – 15% | 120 – 180 lbs/acre\nPotassium: 10% – 15% | 120 – 180 lbs/acre\nMulch: 1000 lbs/acre\nLime: 500 lbs/acre\n\nAll work shall be completed within thirty (30) days of the bid being let. \nPayment\, in full\, shall be awarded after the completion of a final inspection. There will be no partial payments. All work shall be performed in compliance with Federal\, State\, and the International Building Code\, 2012 Edition\, Section 3303. \nThe right is reserved to accept or reject all or any parts of your offer and to accept the offer the City Council considers the most advantageous to the City. \nThe City of Phenix City is exempt from all federal excise taxes.
