SUMMARY:ARPA District 5 Golf Tournament @Lakewood Golf Course
DESCRIPTION:Lakewood Golf Course will be hosting the Alabama Recreation and Parks Association District 5 Golf Tournament on Wednesday\, May 18th. ARPA District 5 comprises of member cities through East and Central Alabama including Phenix City\, Auburn\, Opelika\, Lincoln\, Talladega and many others. \nThis year\, we will donate a portion of the proceeds collected to Camp ASCCA located in Jackson’s Gap\, AL. ASCCA is an acronym that stands for Alabama’s Special Camp for Children and Adults. \nBeginning in 1976\, Camp ASCCA has been a nationally recognized leader in therapeutic recreation and is known throughout the world for its superior quality services. Providing camping experiences for children and adults with disabilities\, Camp ASCCA is open year-round. Within its barrier-free environment\, Camp ASCCA offers 230 wooded acres on the shores of beautiful Lake Martin in Alabama. \nFour man scramble. Registration is $75.00 per player. Lunch will be at 11:30AM EST with a shotgun start to follow at 12:00 EST. E-mail mjohnson@opelika-al.gov to register your team. Registration cost includes 18 holes of golf\, range ball prior to start\, lunch\, and free beverages. Registration closes May 13th. \nWe also would encourage the local businesses of Phenix City to sponsor a hole for the event. The cost to sponsor a hole is $50.00.
