DESCRIPTION:Alabama State ‘Back-to-School’ Sales Tax Holiday:\nIn conformity with the provisions Act 2017-120 enacted by the Alabama Legislature during the 2017 Regular Session\, providing for a state Sales Tax Holiday\, The City of Phenix City\, Alabama\, exempts “covered items” from municipal sales and use tax during the same period\, beginning at 12:01 a.m.\, EDT\, on Friday\, July 21\, 2017\, and ending at 12 midnight on Sunday\, July 23\, 2017. \nReview Phenix City Ordinance No. 2017-14. \nImportant\nIn accordance with Act 2017-120\, the Back-to-School Sales Tax Holidays will be held each year on the third full weekend of July instead of the first full weekend of August. \nCovered Items\nBrowse through the quick reference sheet of the list of covered items.
